Martyn Warren

Martyn Warren is a half-illustrator/half-author/half-mentalist from Bournemouth. He’s also rubbish at maths. He graduated with a First Class Degree in illustration in 2007 and has since published a book called Velcro Cows, illustrated for CBeebies via Driver Dan’s Story Train, exhibited at the Coningsby Gallery and had work in the revered AOI Images Annual.

Martyn’s work is characterised by his absurd (and pretty unique) sense of ‘humour’, and usually incorporates animals, film references, and science going badly, badly wrong.

He self-publishes books and postcard collections through his website: www.velcrocows.co.uk and is always on the lookout for new projects to ‘weird up’.

His most recent project, the Weird Fish Factopedia, is typically deranged, with lots of fun facts for all the family about this sadly obscure species; who hunt rabbits by throwing frogs at them and worship underwater effigies of Mick Hucknell.
